CHARLOTTE NICHOLS AISTD (Dip)
I started my dance training at the age of 2 following my 3 older sisters to dance classes. I trained for 10 years part time at Doreen Bird College, and then won a scholarship from ILEA to attend Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom. Whilst there I gained my teaching qualifications in ballet, modern, tap and national and then a year after leaving gained my tap diploma. I opened pointers dance studio in 1994 and am very proud of all the children that have come through the school. Choreography has always been a big love of mine and I love seeing the children produce the finish article. We now do festivals in a big way and it’s great to see the children progress in them each year. It’s great to see their confidence grow with each performance.

LAURA WATTS
I started dancing at the age of 3 and joined Pointers Dance Studio at the age of 9. I always did well in exams and local festivals and at the age of 17 won the Croydon dance festival senior modern championship finals. I then went to university to study psychology but still continued to teach at Pointers. Having taken a year out to go travelling and experience the wonders of the world I am now back and settled and now teach English and Drama at Glenthorne School as well as Boys Modern, Disco, singing and drama at Pointers.

MATTHEW NICHOLS
Whilst at university studying for a degree in Computer science and software engineering, I enrolled in a sports coach development program to backup my love of sport. From there I was given the opertunity to start coaching gymnastics. I began coaching general gymnastics but am now a fully qualified women’s and men's artistic coach and currently coach the development squad at Croydon gym club for girls. I teach gymnastic floor work at Pointers to help the children with their dances, especially the acro elements in their festival dances. I also have a strong background in theatrical sound and lighting and have started recording the pupils singing. I also take all the schools photography and administer our web site.
